Our roots run deep
We’re a result of ancient traditions and we value staying true to our roots. Kuro Sumi ink was created with an authentic formula in Japan. Inspired by the elements, our ink was formed with the finest, vegan-friendly ingredients. Kuro Sumi ink quickly became universally known and trusted.
Behind the name
When naming our tattoo ink we wanted to draw inspiration from the culture and history.
We selected Kuro to come first because it loosely translates to “Black” in Japanese, and what comes first for us is maintaining our reputation as the leading grey wash and outline ink, because of our ability to offer artists the absolute blackest pigment in the tattoo industry.
Sumi translates to “before” in Japanese, this represents the rich tradition of Japanese tattooing and culture we’re proud to be a part of.
