Po Zhang aka “PoPo” was born in China. He grew up in the art industry, creating with his father, then went on to study Fine Art in college. His specialty was oil painting which led him to start tattooing in 2002.

From the start of his tattoo career he has always used Kuro Sumi ink, and does to this day. Po uses his special signature grey wash set from Kuro Sumi to specialize in portraiture and morph style. Because of Kuro Sumi he was able to travel to the United States and start a new life here. Po is grateful to Kuro Sumi for the opportunity to travel the world and be involved in the professional tattoo industry while expanding the brand.
