Louis Tham, a 14-year tattoo veteran, is the founder, owner and resident artist of Lovesick Tattoo in Singapore.  

 “From the age of 5, I was addicted to trying different mediums of art. When I got the chance to hold a tattoo machine at 17, I felt that tattooing was a unique and special experience because it requires not only a lot of different techniques, but also a constant mental consistency and practice to be a good artist — I feel, given another 100 years it is still impossible for anyone to perfect this craft, but that’s the beauty of it. 

I have been using a lot of different brands over the years, but when I was given the opportunity to try Kuro Simi ink, I knew these inks are perfect for my style — hyper realism in black and grey. I love the consistency of Kuro Sumi inks and how easy they are to work with. 

I’m blessed and lucky that I was able to get into this industry not only to create something permanent on a “walking canvas,” but also being able to meet people from different walks of life — making many new friends along my journey. Throughout my 14 years of experience, I have managed to achieve a few awards and sponsors from different conventions I have attended worldwide.”
