Originally from Barcelona, Ester Tarabal is working as a resident at Dropout Collective tattoo studio in Copenhagen (Denmark).

She started working in a tattoo shop when she was 17 drawing custom designs for a tattoo artist. At the same time she was studying a bachelor in Fine Arts at The University of Barcelona, specializing in drawing and printmaking. It wasn’t after finishing her studies when she actually started having interest in tattooing, in 2014. A few months later she moved to Copenhagen, where she stayed since.

She is mostly inspired by nature, exploring different styles, motives and compositions to keep the feeling of learning alive, but focused in color.

She has attended some local conventions in Denmark winning first place in Best realism in 2019, first in Best Color in 2021 and first in Best of show in 2021. The last convention attended was Tattoo Planetarium in Paris 2022. She is also guesting around Europe, and with plans to work in other countries in the future.

She has used Kurosumi colors with the launch of the new Imperial line of inks. It’s hard to pick which ones she likes the most, as doing color realism, she uses them all!
