Andreas Chr. has been tattooing for 6 years. He is the owner, founder, and resident artist out of Thirteen Eyes Tattoo Studio in Nicosia, Cyprus. With a profound talent in Black & Grey Realism tattoos, Andreas is a perfect fit for the Kuro Sumi team. 

“I started tattooing out of my bedroom in 2016, then in 2017 I was approached to work in one of the top tattoo studios in Cyprus. After the pandemic and 5 years of tattooing, in 2021 I achieved one of my career goals and opened my own shop with a fellow tattoo artist. 

From a young age, I was always interested in art, especially graffiti — which was what inspired me to try tattooing originally. Being specialized in Realism and Black & Grey, my favorite thing is that there is no room for mistakes which makes my work quite thrilling.   

I have been using Kuro Sumi for the past couple of years. I was very pleased as soon as I started using it because it was exactly what I was looking for. Not only is it amazing while tattooing, but the black is solid, the greywash is smooth, and most importantly the healing process is amazing and does not lose any pigmentation. Although in most of my tattoos I use black, I also like to incorporate color to make things interesting — thanks to Kuro Sumi’s great variety I will never be disappointed.   

An amazing experience I’ve had as an artist has been the tattoo community itself. It’s amazing to meet new people, learn new techniques, and get inspiration from great tattoo artists around the world. One of my favorite events, I would say is when I won my first award, 1st place for Black and Grey, at the Cyprus International Tattoo Convention. Also, winning 2nd place in my first international tattoo expo in Bulgaria was an unforgettable experience!”
